Background

The North West Midlands Social Work Teaching Partnership was initially formed in 2015 and is funded by the Department of Education and the Department for Health to improve the education of student social workers and experienced practitioners. Our Teaching Partnership facilitates collaboration between Local Authorities (LAs), Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and Private or Voluntary Institutions (PVIs) to ensure that social work education and practice are in tandem, and reflect the needs of Children, Adults and Families.

We seek to empower social work students and experienced practitioners throughout their professional journey, offering a variety of opportunities to strengthen their skills, knowledge and experience. Our learning programmes support our students and practitioners to meet their statutory requirements whilst ensuring their practice reflects the needs of Children, Adults & Families.
